Outlook 2010 does not allow .HTML formatting and this poses a challenge for customers who would like to hyperlink certain information on their email signature cards.

What does .HTML formatting mean? Well, it basically comes down to this: The Outlook 2010 email client can read .HTML rich text when received in an email, but you can not insert .HTML programmed images as a signature card into this email client.

With Outlook 2010 the file path is not important and you can SAVE your email signature card files in any folder you wish. It is good however to create a special folder for your signature card files on your C-drive - just to keep things organized.

Step 1: Open > My Computer
Step 2: Open > C drive (Local Disk C)

Step 3: Click > File > New > Folder
Step 4: Name this folder "signaturecard"

Step 5: Close all open windows on your screen. (In other words - go back to your Desktop display)

Step 6: Open Outlook 2010

Step 7: Locate the email with the attached files I have sent you.

Step 8: Save these attachments in the folder that you have created in step 3 and 4.

Now for the fun part: Inserting your email signature card into Outlook 2010 and having it displayed in every email that you send out!

Step 1:  Open your Outlook 2010 email program and click on >File and then >Options.

Step 2:  Click on the >Mail tab.

Step 3:
With the new window open - make sure that HTML is selected in "Compose Messages" and then click on the "Signatures..." tab at the bottom.

Step 4:
Click on the "New" tab.

Step 5:
In the Name Field you can give your card any name you wish and then click on > OK .

Step 6:
Select your signature card by its name you gave it in the drop down windows for "New messages" and "Replies/forwards:

Step 7: Click on the "Picture Icon" at the bottom and scroll to the folder where you have SAVED your email signature card image.

Step 8: Select the .GIF image and CLICK on >Insert.

Step 9: Your signature card should now be displayed in the Window and you can Click on the OK tab.

Step 10: Open a New Email Message and you will see that your card is displayed in the text field window.

This is how your email signature card will be displayed in your new email message:
